Climbing_Boy.jpgBelieve in yourself

In northern Brazil, there is a popular game called Pau de Cebu in which young people and children try to climb a greased pole to win a prize. In poor regions, the prize is usually basic food.

One day in a town, after no one had been able to climb the pole for a long time, a little boy managed to reach the top very quickly, despite the onlookers shouting, “You won't make it” and “It won't work.”

When asked how he did it, a friend answered for him: “There are two reasons. He was motivated because he hadn’t eaten for two days. And also, he is deaf, so he couldn’t hear those who were telling him it was impossible.”

It's important to remember that we control our own destiny and that nothing is impossible if we put our minds to it. Let’s focus on our goal and work towards it diligently without letting anyone else’s doubts or negativity sway us from our path. Let’s not be discouraged by the opinions of others, but instead let their doubt fuel our determination to prove them wrong. Let’s surround ourselves with positive and supportive people who believe in our potential and will encourage us to keep pushing forward.

"Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible."
- St. Francis of Assisi
