
Society of the Divine Word is an international Roman Catholic missionary congregation of priests and brothers numbering 6000 members in
over 70 countries. Each is ready to leave his home and culture to bring the Gospel to those who have not heard the Good News about Jesus Christ or to local churches that are, at this time, unable to tend to the needs of the Catholic Christians.

More ways to support our mission

In addition to sending our missionaries all around the world, the Society of the Divine Word ministers in the United States to Hispanics, African Americans, Vietnamese and immigrants of other ethnic backgrounds in inner city parishes in Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Memphis, central New Jersey and others. We minister to the poor and neglected in rural West Virginia and the slums of the Caribbean. We are the voice for social and racial justice and minister whenever needed. Non-profit status
Society of the Divine Word, Chicago Province is a non-profit organization and is supported primarily by contributions of people of good will. Donations made to the Society qualify as charitable deductions under the IRS Code 501 (c)(3). Our Federal Identification Number as well as further information are available upon request.
